Media predators feeding on Harry & Meghan

I’m not a royalist but I’m a humanist who knows how little humanity there is within the British media pack, and how much they create division and feed off it for pure self-interest without a care for the damage they cause.

I feared the worst when I heard the announcement by the Duke & Duchess of Sussex about their changing role, especially as disreputable rags such as The Sun have had a relentless anti-Meghan campaign — ie anti American woman of colour campaign! — since her relationship with Harry was first known:

They don’t seem to care about Harry or his mental health either, but the focus has clearly been on Meghan and she has been painted as the ‘cause’ of what has been portrayed as only just short of treason!

A ‘war with the media’ never ends well, although I sincerely hope Harry & Meghan can change the ‘rules of engagement’ within the digital age of democracy, transparency and accountability:

I was moved to write this piece:

— — —

Tabloids devoid of humanity

full of vanity & insanity

think they own

anyone known.

With your mother hunted to death

why not use every last breath

to protect your wife & your baby

& your life & then maybe

start again #HarryAndMeghan

…but the pack will be back!

Sadly, wherever Harry & Meghan go, no matter how much time they spend in the US or Canada, the British media wolves will follow. That’s the nature of the beast…and it is a ravenous beast.

But I would love to see Meghan resuming her successful career, going on to great acting roles with awards on merit for her undoubted talent…while Harry stays at home and looks after the kids.

Even I might want to see some media coverage of that!
